Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Catalina Iliescu, Vice-Rector for Culture, Sports and University Extension at the University of Alicante, along with Juan Llopis, Director of #InstitutionalRelations. 🚨 New Italian Team joins #TheOceanRaceEurope! 🇮🇹 We were in Milan today for the official launch of Allagrande Mapei Racing, led by skipper Ambrogio Beccaria. The team will make its debut in #TheOceanRaceEurope this summer. Ambrogio Beccaria will race onboard the IMOCA sailed by Thomas Ruyant in the last Vendée Globe and Thomas Ruyant will join him as co-skipper. Exciting news from New Zealand 🇳🇿 Offshore sailor and two-time Vendée Globe finisher Conrad Colman has launched a new Kiwi campaign for the next edition of #TheOceanRace in 2027: Aotearoa Ocean Racing. Co-founded with Rowan Gyde, the team aims to showcase top #NewZealand talent while championing sustainability and creating pathways for youth, women, and Māori - both on and off the water. A new IMOCA is in development, and the ambition is clear: to bring the race’s toughest challenge back home.
